The Infection Control Department is responsible for preventing, monitoring and controlling infections within the hospital environment to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and healthcare professionals. Through continuous surveillance, protocol implementation and staff training, the department minimizes the risk of hospital-acquired infections and ensures compliance with national and international standards of infection prevention.
The team works closely with all clinical and support departments to maintain a sterile and hygienic hospital environment, safeguarding patient care at every level.
• Surveillance and prevention of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs)
• Monitoring sterilization and disinfection practices across units
• Antibiotic stewardship support for rational drug use
• Immunization programs for staff and high-risk patients (if applicable)
• Staff training on PPE use, hand hygiene and infection-prevention protocols
• Outbreak management and root-cause assessment in case of infection clusters

• Monitoring of sterilization, CSSD, OT and ICU infection parameters
