The Neonatal department has a level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This unit can provide care for infants born at > 30 weeks gestation and weighing <= 1500 gms who show signs of :

Physiological immaturity such as inability to maintain body temperature, apnea of immaturity or inability to take oral feeds.

Being moderately unwell with problems that are anticipated to resolve rapidly and do not need specialty services.

This unit can also provide care to babies who are convalescing after intensive care.
